Police Beat for Thursday, April 14th, 2022

A 35-year-old Centralia man has been arrested by Centralia Police for alleged domestic battery.  Bradley Boozer of South Lincoln was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on any charges.

A 31-year-old Centralia man, Bradley Venters of North Cherry, was arrested by Wamac Police for failure to appear on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant on a pending domestic battery charge.   Bond on the warrant is set at $7,500.

32-year-old Michael Pohlman of East Boone in Salem was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies on an outstanding failure to appear warrant in a pending burglary case.   His bond is set at $30,000.

Centralia City Firefighters stood by for about an hour and a half early Thursday morning when a portion of a tree fell across a power line in the 900 block of East Broadway.  While the power lines didn’t break, they were arcing.   Ameren crews fixed the problem.
