Centralia grad Chloe Wendling earned a victory and a save this past weekend in Philadelphia as the St. Louis Billiken’s softball team take 2 of 3 games over Saint Joseph to secure 2nd place in the A10 conference.
Wendling’s ERA stands at a season-low 2.54, and her win over Saint Joseph’s increased her career-high victory total to 12. Beginning with her two-hit shutout of Northern Kentucky March 8, Wendling is 10-3 with a 1.61 ERA, three shutouts, a save, and just seven extra-base hits. She has a 1.37 ERA in her last six appearances.
Wendling continues to lead the A-10 in shutouts (four). She is second in wins (12), ERA (2.54), complete games (14), innings (129.2) and starts (20), and fourth in strikeouts (83).
The Billikens will play at home against the Dayton Flyers this weekend in Conference action.
