The Salem 11u split their two games at the Little League Complex on Sunday. Salem opened the day with a 14-0 win over Wesclin. Bentley Bryan, Jax Schaubert and Owen Tennyson drove in 2 runs each for Salem. Zane Applegate drove in a run along with Colton Tockstein and Tripp Garden. Schaubert, Applegate and Kai Graham pitched in the win combining on the 2-hit shutout.
The 11u then dropped their first game of the year to the O’Fallon Bombers 3-2 in extra innings with all the games runs coming in the eighth inning. Tennyson had 2 hits for Salem with runs from Bryan and Jared Crompton. Tockstein and Bryan were good on the mound going 7.1 innings allowing 7 hits and 3 runs with 6 strikeouts.
