Franklin Park track team is back in action today at home against Centralia, Odin and Mt Vernon. Salem competed at Mascoutah yesterday and came away with 22 PR’s from the girls and 21 from the boys.

Salem swept the throwing events with Morgan Mickens winning the Boys Discus followed by Kaufman, Noah Timm won the shot followed by Mickens. Brylee Pennypacker won the girls discus followed by Hannah Smith. Smith was 2nd in the shot put behind Marah Johnson who won the event.
Salem also had a great day at the high jump pit. Ryegan Warren won the event clearing 5-8 and 7th grader Avery Gullion was a surprising 2nd beating his PR by 6-inches clearing 5-4. Finley Puricelli also PR’s in the high jump winning the event at 4-10.

Also winning events yesterday were Addi Bullard in the Hurdles, Alex Spencer and Kendall Zimmermann won the 1600, Angel Salgado the 200 and the 7th grade 4×200 team of Payton Gullion, Avery Gullion, Andrew Greene and Madden Thompson.
