The Salem Lady Wildcats are finally back in action having 3 games rained out in a row as they head to Breese Central to open up conference play. Salem knocked off Wesclin yesterday in non-conference play on the road 17-1. Makenna Smith was the winning pitcher. Maya Susmena scored 2 runs, Avery Bass was 2-3 with 2 runs, Smith went 2-3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs, Lilly Blagoue scored twice and in her first game of the year coming off injury, Olivia Paulson went 2-2 with 4 RBI.
Yesterday, South Central fell to Vandalia 3-2. Taegan Webster was the losing pitcher as all of the games runs were scored in the first 3 innings. Lilly Malone and Ella Watwood drove in the Lady Cougar runs. SC is 3-2 on the season and will play at St Anthony tomorrow.
