The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats dropped their volleyball state tournament opener at Pinckneyville on Saturday falling to Carmi-White County 25-15, 25-12. Carmi would fall in the title match to Waterloo 25-13, 25-19. Mascoutah took 3rd over Massac County 25-15, 25-20.
The Class S tournament was held at Herrin. Trinity Stewardson knocked off St Rose in the title game 25-11, 25-19. Pinckneyville took 3rd place beating Holy Childhood Mascoutah 25-22, 25-19. New Horizon dropped their tournament opener to TSJ Nashville 25-27, 21-25 and Woodlawn fell to Jonesboro by identical 25-14 scores.
In Class M at Nashville, NCOE knocked off Breese in a battle of unbeatens 16-25, 25-14, 15-13. Aviston took 3rd over Johnston City 27-25, 22-25, 15-7.
