Yesterday in prep baseball, Christ Our Rock knocked off Elverado 11-1. Blake Kliebocker had 2 RBI for the Stallions, Brayden Such went 2-3 with 2 runs and a RBI as well. Myles Pryor pitched a complete game. Christ Our Rock is 2-1 and will head to Flora tomorrow.
The defending Class 1a state baseball champion South Central Cougars will open up their season tomorrow with a double header on the road at Windsor/Stew Stras. The Hatchets are coached by former Cougar Brett Harmeier.
The Salem Wildcats are back in action after their season opening loss to Mt Vernon this week when they travel to the Metro East to take on Kaneland and Lasalle/Peru. Salem will play Kaneland at 10am at Belleville East and then travel to GCS Ballpark to play LaSalle/Peru at 2.
