A 36-year-old Salem man has been arrested on two counts of violation of the sex offender registry. Jason Belman of Salem Mobile Home Park was picked up by
Salem Police after they learned of his location. He was taken to the Marion County Jail.
36-year-old Siera Seeley of West Broadway in Centralia was arrested by Wamac Police for possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Salem Police arrested two people on outstanding warrants following a traffic stop. 50-year-old Michael Taylor of East Poplar in Odin was arrested by Salem
Police on a traffic failure to appear warrant on a driving on a suspended license. A passenger, 52-year-old Martin Hokel of Hoots Chapel Road in Odin was arrested on an Effingham County failure to appear warrant for driving on a suspended license. He was later released on a notice to appear in court.
18-year-old Zakkary Downs of Jefferson Street in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police on an outstanding Marion County warrant on a new charge of
domestic battery. He posted $250 bond and was released.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a 30 foot tall windmill from the 8700 block of Loy Road in rural Kinmundy.
