Centralia Police arrested both occupants of a car on felony drug charges following a Wednesday night traffic stop.
46-year-old Christopher Taulbee of West 3rd in Centralia was arrested for alleged meth delivery, possession of 15 to 100 grams of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a narcotic instrument.
28-year-old Melanie Scerba of South Walnut in Centralia was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and on an outstanding Clinton County felony failure to appear warrant on a possession of dangerous drugs charge.
Bond on the warrant is set at $5,000.
Centralia Police Chief Greg Dodson says a large chunk of meth along with other baggies were allegedly found when police searched the vehicle owned and driven by Taulbee.
The suspected meth weighed 34 ounces. Dodson reports a number of unidentified pills were also recovered that have been sent to the crime lab for identification.
Both were taken to the Marion County Jail to await further court action.
