Salem Township Hospital has been honored as one of the Top 100 hospitals in the country and one of the Top 4 in Illinois by national healthcare publication Becker Hospital Review.
Hospital President Alex Nazarian made the announcement at Tuesday afternoon’s hospital board meeting.
“It is based on hard data. They crunch the data that is provided. Our patients send information to Medicare and they make it publicly available. This publication gathers all that date and comes up with who are those winners and we were one of the four in Illinois.”
Nazarian says they are seeing the same type of positive reviews in their patient satisfaction surveys.
“That is proven by our metrics we keep track of internally. Not only the quality metrics but also most likely to recommend to friends and family and 88% of our patients will recommend us to their families based on their experience they have had at the hospital.”
Nazarian says the recognition is for calendar year 2021.
