The Salem Youth Wildcat wrestlers competed over the weekend at Newton. The highlight of the tournament according to coaches was Killian Merrill getting his first win and first pin of the season. Also for Salem, finishing 1st was Willie Vincent who had 3 pins along with Izayah Ramirez, Myles Donoho, Kayne Rhynes and Preston Camp.
Taking 2nd for Salem, Daemion Ramirez, Logan Morgan, Kyler King, Caylen Patterson and Carson Edwards. 3rd place came from Gabe Schlueter, Thayn Gowler and Merrell. Finishing 4th were Ryker Nix and Coen Dasch.
Salem will compete at Regionals Saturday in Carbondale.
