The Salem Lady Wildcats came from 11th place to start the final day all the way up finish 7th in the state at the prep girls state bowling tournament held this weekend. Lockport Township won the title followed by Harlem, Oswego, Hononegah and York in the top 5.
Vandalia’s Madison Ferguson is the individual state champ as she averaged a 236.8 on the weekend to finish 215 pins ahead of 2nd place Hailey Bozych of Plainfield East and score the 2nd highest score ever at the State Tournament. Freeburg’s Lauren Hunter was 17th and Madi Hawk of Anna was 18th.
