The Salem Wildcats will finish up the regular season and Cahokia Conference tonight with a varsity only home game with Freeburg. It will be a 5pm tip and you can listen on WJBD. Salem is 15-12 overall and 5-4 in the league coming off a win over Roxana on Tuesday. Freeburg just won their 20th game of the season, beating Columbia on Tuesday night.
Last night SC improved to 23-7 and earned a hard fought 59-57 win over North Clay. Ethan Watwood led SC with 23 and Keenin Willshire added 14. Lucas Fleener led North Clay with 28. The night opened with the SC fresh/Soph earning a 24-23 win to finish the season at 11-1. The Cougars JV dropped their game 40-38 to finish at 13-6. SC’s varsity will open up 1a regional play at home against St. Elmo/Brownstown on Saturday at 6pm.
