A Flora Police officer was injured when another car failed to yield at a stop sign on US 50 eastbound at North Olive Road in Flora Tuesday night.
State Police say preliminary information indicates the squad car was struck in the front middle passenger side by the front of the other car driven by 20-year-old Steven Durr of Mendenhall, Mississippi.
The police officer self transported himself to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Durr and a passenger in his car, 20-year-old Anthony McGill also of Mendenhall, Mississippi, were both transported by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Durr was ticketed for disobeying a stop sign, failure to yield at an intersection, and operating a motor vehicle with no valid proof of insurance.
