Three Mt. Vernon residents were formally charged with felony drug offenses in Jefferson County Court on Monday following the execution of two search warrants over the weekend by the Mt. Vernon Police/Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Joint Narcotics Unit.
37-year-old Amber Jones was arrested after a search warrant was executed on her home at 628 White Avenue where cocaine and packaging materials were allegedly found. She was charged with manufacture or delivery of 1 to 15 grams of cocaine.
While detectives were at the Jones residence a vehicle arrived occupied by 40-year-old Timothy Washington and 50-year-old Glen Ford. They were both arrested when found in possession of crack cocaine.
Detectives then obtained a search warrant for Washington’s home at 402 Herbert where currency, crack cocaine, and packaging materials were allegedly found. Washington was charged with a Class X offense of manufacture or delivery of 15 to 100 grams of cocaine as well as manufacture or delivery of 1 to 15 grams of cocaine. Ford was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
All three had the public defender appointed to represent them.
