A 25-year-old Centralia man wanted in connection with multiple gunshots fired at the occupant of a car on February 9th has been arrested after coming to the Centralia Police station on Monday night.

Jerod Young, also known as Jerod Simmons-Young of East Kell Street, was later transported to the Marion County Jail on charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm, aggravated assault via the discharge of a firearm, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Centralia Police say four to five gunshots were apparently fired by a man who exited a house in the 800 block of Haussler Street.

Police say they were aimed at an occupant of a car who later told police the gunfire was the result of an ongoing domestic dispute. Police say neither the car or the person in the vehicle were struck.

Police released information Friday that they were seeking Simmons-Young in connection with the case and he reportedly came to the Centralia Police Station Monday night after learning police were looking for him.
