The Salem Lady Wildcat bowling team will compete this weekend at the State Tournament after advancing with a 2nd place finish Saturday at the Mt Vernon Sectionals. Collinsville won the team event with 5775 followed by Salem’s 5676 with Anna Jonesboro and Belleville East also advancing.
Elena Vanhoutin led Salem rolling a 1207, Sarah Sauter was right behind her with 1203, Abby Cunningham 1181, Keelie Gass 1074 and Jaeda Rollinson 1011. Vandalia’s Madison Ferguson won the event rolling a 1404. She advances individually along with Freeburg’s Lauren Hunter and Mt Vernon’s Makayla Storment.
