Centralia Police have released the name of the person they are seeking in connection with multiple gunshots fired at the occupant of a car late Wednesday morning.
26-year-old Jerod Young, also known as Jerod Simmons-Young of Centralia, is being sought for alleged aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated assault.
Centralia Police say they determined no one had been shot within two minutes of arrival on the scene of the gunshots in the 800 block of Haussler Street. They later talked to the alleged victim who was able to tell them the gunshots were the result of an ongoing domestic dispute and had not been fired randomly.
Police earlier said the alleged victim was in a vehicle when a man stepped out of a house on Haussler Street and fired four to five times. They report the car was also not struck by the gunfire.
