A car reported stolen in Salem Tuesday night was found wrecked in rural Odin with no one around.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say the vehicle was traveling northbound on Delmar southwest of Odin when it crossed Soper Road and ran into the woods. The car stopped after crashing into a tree. Odin Firemen and Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the scene before it was discovered no one was around the car. The crash was reported at 9:20 Tuesday night.
The car was reported as stolen from a home in the 400 block of East Church Street 12 minutes later.
The vehicle has been towed to the Salem Police Station.
The investigation is continuing.
