Freeburg improved to 25-3 as they knocked off the Lady Wildcats last night 61-20.  Kylie Kisgen had 16 points and 10 steals to lead the Lady Midgets.  Natalie Peterson added 15 as Freeburg improves to 9-0 in the Cahokia Conference.

The 25th win places this year’s team along the 2003-04, 04-05 and 19-20 for the most wins in school history.  And as the top seed in their sub-sectional this upcoming post season, they are poised to have that record by themselves before the end of the season.  Freeburg has a showdown at home with Central this week with the Lady Cougars having just 1 loss, a home defeat to Freeburg that snapped a 99-game home conference winning streak.

The Lady Cats will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to Wood River before opening up regional play at Carmi on Saturday evening.

In other action:  Breese Central knocked off 1a top ranked Okawville 53-46 to earn coach Nathan Reuter win #400.

Christ Our Rock won the regular season Midland Trail Conference with their 32-31 win over Woodlawn.
