The Salem Lady Cats are in action today at the 35th annual Highland Girls Tournament. They will tip off this morning at 10am against the tournament’s top seed Okawville. The Lady Rockets are 20-0 on the season and ranked 2nd in the latest AP poll. A loss puts Salem in the Monday afternoon consolation quarterfinals at 4pm and a win they would play on the championship side Monday at 7pm against either 8th seed Triad or 9th seed Belleville West.
Other games today will see TTown take on Collinsville, O’Fallon plays Hillsboro, Civic Memorial against Belleville East, Nashville plays Breese Central, Alton plays Highland and the final game of the day is Mater Dei and Taylorville.
