A 37-year-old St. Louis man has pleaded guilty in Marion County Court to a felony drug charge in exchange for prosecutors dropping a criminal sexual abuse charge.
Donnate Bass was sentenced to two years first offender probation, given credit for time served, ordered to undergo drug, alcohol, and mental health evaluation and treatment and abstain with testing, and have no contact with the victim.
Bass was arrested by Centralia Police last February after he was accused of sexually abusing a woman in his vehicle while it was parked on Wright Drive. The alleged victim told police she was able to escape the car and bang on the door of a friend’s apartment to get help. When later being questioned at the Centralia Police Department he was found in possession of Ecstasy.
The victim told police she knew Bass.
