An Amtrak conductor called 911 early Monday morning asking for help with a domestic dispute on board.

The conductor said a female had struck a man and during the 911 call he had to break up another altercation.

A Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy boarded the train at the 1st Street crossing in Kinmundy where the female was removed.   She was taken to a Salem motel to spend the night.

The man and his 11-year-old son were allowed to continue onboard the train.

Sheriff’s officials say no arrests were made.

The man, woman, and 11-year-old were all from New York State.
