A 41-year-old former Centralia man has been returned to the Marion County Jail from Alabama where he was arrested on a 2005 warrant for criminal sexual assault by force and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Francisco Rojas of Elberta, Alabama is now being held in lieu of $100,000 bond on a warrant that was issued when he failed to appear in court on the charges in November 2005.   He had originally posted $5,000 cash bond and was released from the Marion County Jail the day the charges were brought against him.

Centralia Police Chief Greg Dodson says both charges involved alleged sexual activity with a 14-year-old female.   At the time, Rojas maintained the sex was consensual.   But because the girl was a juvenile it was still against the law.

Rojas was returned to the Marion County Jail on Wednesday by prisoner transport.
