A 41-year-old Cuba, Missouri woman was injured when the semi she was driving ran off Interstate 70 near milepost 58 in Fayette County.
State Police say preliminary information indicates Angela Smith was traveling westbound on I-70 when for unknown reasons she ran off the left side of the roadway into the eastbound lanes and then into the ditch on the south side of the interstate.
Smith was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
She was given a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The crash occurred at 12:08 Wednesday afternoon.
