Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a 60-year-old rural Centralia man after his vehicle crashed into a tree after missing the end of Baldridge Lane at Mills Cart Road at the rear entrance to the Salem Walmart.
Reports indicate William Jeter of Lakeshore Drive was northbound on Baldridge Lane when the crash occurred at 9:22 Tuesday night.
Jeter was taken to the Marion County Jail after being ticketed for alleged driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving on a suspended or revoked license.
He was released after posting $300 cash bond.
