Two people remain in the Marion County Jail after being arrested by Wamac Police for violation of an order of protection. 50-year-old George Jones and 50-year-old Tammie Smith from different addresses on South Jefferson in Wamac were arrested at different times on Monday and taken to the Marion County Jail.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of four catalytic converters from vehicles parked at HD’s Oil Field Services in the 1500 block of Green Street Road east of Central City. The thefts were discovered Monday morning.
