Centralia Police say an early Saturday morning traffic stop has resulted in recovery of a stolen car and thousands of dollars in stolen tobacco and vape products.

The driver of the car, 18-year-old Temperance Roberts who had a North Dakota ID card, and passengers 19-year-old Noah Wagner and 18-year-old Justin Weissinger of Missouri, were all arrested for felony theft and taken to the Marion County Jail.

Centralia Police Lieutenant Steve Whritenour says the stolen car was taken from Minot, North Dakota. The tobacco and vape products were reportedly stolen from businesses in Springfield, St. Louis, and in Indiana. Police are still gathering more information on the thefts.

Centralia Police had stopped the vehicle for traffic violation reasons at McCord and Elm Street around one Saturday morning.
