A continuous overnight rain resulted in 2.17 inches of rain at the Salem Water Plant and 2.32 inches of rain at the Centralia Water Treatment Plant for the 24-hour period ending at seven Saturday morning.
The total for the two-day storm system increased to 2.64 inches of rain at the Salem Water Plant and 2.64 inches at the Centralia Water treatment plant.
The Centralia Water Plant reports the rain completely filled Raccoon Lake and as of Saturday morning, one gate was open seven and a half feet to get rid of excess water. That has resulted in Brick Hill Road below the dam to flood.
The Salem Water Plant on Saturday morning was still ten inches below the spillway, but Crooked Creek is out of its bank south of Salem flooding the South College, South Hotze, South Hoots Chapel, and Westline Road crossings.
One vehicle drove into about three feet of water across the South College Street Extension Saturday afternoon with Salem Firemen called to assist them in getting out.
