The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at a home in the 1100 block of Walnut Hill Road in rural Centralia. The break-in was reported just before noon on Sunday.
Entry was gained by breaking in a back door. Two pistols and money were reported stolen.
Salem Police are investigating a burglary to a storage unit at the former Purple Elephant location on East Main Street behind the Salem American Legion. The break-in has been turned over to investigations.
