The Centralia Cultural Society will present its 61st Annual Christmas Concert, “Holiday Festival of the Arts”, at the Community Arts Center at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. After a year of closures because of the pandemic, the Holiday Festival concert will return to the Arts Center auditorium and feature three musical groups.
The concert will open with Philzharmoniks, a group of Suzuki string students under the direction of Philip Tinge. The Centralia Phiharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Matt Webster and accompanied by Martha Stiehl will follow with familiar Christmas selections including “The Christmas Song”, “The Bells of Christmas”, and Variations on “Joy to the World”.
Next on the program, the Choral Society under the direction of Roy Kroezen and accompanied by Cynthia Spencer, will perform three holiday choral numbers and the concert will conclude with “Do You Hear What I Hear?” for combined chorus and orchestra by Regney and Shane, arranged by Emily Crocker.
