105th COVID related death reported in Clinton County, 19 new cases in Marion County

Clinton County is reporting their 105th COVID-19 related death this week.   The male was in his 90s.   Two existing admissions remain in the hospital.   The health department also saw 139 new cases from November 28th to December 3rd.   142 remain on home isolation.

Meanwhile, the Marion County Health Department is reporting 19 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday.   Three of the cases were in those fully vaccinated.  There were no additional deaths reported on Friday.

There are now 124 active cases in the county, including 12 who are hospitalized.  Of those hospitalized, one is on a ventilator.  None are long-term care residents.  The age breakdown includes one in their 40s, three in their 50s, four in their 60s, three in their 70s, and one in their 80s.

Of the 19 new cases in Marion County, none are long-term care residents and three are school age.  14 are considered community spread and five are the results of household or close contacts.
