A Centralia woman has been sentenced in Marion County Court on a felony retail theft charge.
Jennifer Akes of West 4th was placed on 30 months probation, 60 days in jail with credit for six days already served and ordered to undergo drug, alcohol, and mental health evaluation and any recommended treatment.
She was also ordered to make $143 restitution to the Salem Walmart where she was charged with taking items valued at under $300. The charge was a felony due to a past retail theft conviction.
The judge suspended the jail sentence was suspended pending further order of the court.
Akes had pleaded guilty to the charge in September with a condition that the State’s Attorney’s office would not seek an extended-term sentence.
