KC Cross Country Finishes Season At Nationals

KC men and women cross country teams finished their seasons, competing at the NJCAA Dll National Championships. The meet was held at Green Pole Park near Richmond, VA.

The Blue Angels came into the meet ranked 16th and finished with the 15th spot. They were led by Summer Chelf, Megan Cook was the number 2 runner for the Angels. Cayla Krueger and Maggie Fitzgerald both had their best races of the year running 3 and 4. Mya Albers had her personal best time of the year as the number 5 counter. Macie Hargis running her last race also had the best race of her career.

The KC Blue Devils came into the National meet ranked 25th and moved up 2 spots to place 23rd at the Championships. Ty Reynolds once again led the charge crossing the finish in just over 28 minutes. Picking up the number 2 spot was Sam Britt, in his best race of the year. Alex Detmer was next followed by Caleb Klein with a strong race. Andrew Stevenson was number 5 counter followed by Kolton Shoemaker. Ryan Gerdes was the 7th runner for KC to cross the line.
