The Marion County Health Department is reporting 33 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday and Friday. There have been no additional deaths.
Of the 33 new cases, five are fully vaccinated. Two are long-term care residents, 14 are school age, and six are four years old and younger. Sixteen of the cases are considered community spread and 17 from households or close contacts.
There are now 609 on isolation in Marion County, including 30 who are hospitalized. Four of those are on ventilators.
Health Department Administrator Melissa Mallow says of those in the hospital, ten apiece are in their 50s and 60s, four are in their 40s and two apiece are in their 30s, 70s, and 80s.
Clinton County is reporting 73 new cases for the week ending on Friday. There are currently 137 on home isolation. There have been three new hospitalizations, males in their 50s, 70s, and 80s, and one ongoing hospital admission of a male in his 60s.
Jefferson County is reporting 54 new positive cases on Thursday and Friday, with 116 currently in isolation.
Statewide, 21,787 new cases of COVID-19 were reported for the week ending on Friday. There were also 239 additional deaths. More than 80-percent of Illinois adults have received at least one vaccine and 63-percent are fully vaccinated.
