2022 09/19 – Norma Grace Speiser

Norma Grace Speiser, 88, of Sandoval passed away surrounded by the love of her family Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at her daughter’s home. She was born on July 15, 1934, the daughter of Franklin and Viola (Beck) Daniels in Kell. She married Leonard Speiser on July 3, 1972, in Sandoval and he survives in Sandoval.

Along with her husband of 50 years, survivors include her children Douglas Vest of Mt. Vernon, Connie Ward and husband Darrell of Xenia, Steve Speiser and wife Myrna of Odin, Michael Speiser and wife Lisa of Sandoval, Carol Sellers and husband Douglas of Salem, Randy Speiser and wife Carol of Centralia; 14 precious grandchildren; 16 cherished great-grandchildren; brother Harry Daniels and wife Jackie of Henderson, North Carolina; special niece Diana Speiser; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Leroy Daniels, and Orville Daniels; and her sisters Beulah Sampson, Pauline Ferguson, Georgia Bartholomew, and Agnes Overturf.

Norma was a lady of strong faith and a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Centralia. She was grateful to have the opportunity to share her gifts by singing in the choir and sharing God’s word while teaching Sunday school. Norma was a member of the Sandoval Women’s Club where she made lasting friendships over the years. She enjoyed quilting, spending many pleasant hours creating beautiful quilts. Norma had an appreciation for music and loved to dance, especially to country music. She loved her family dearly and was proud of them all, so glad for all the wonderful times they had together.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2022, at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia. Interment will follow at Sandoval City Cemetery. Friends and relatives are welcome to a visitation time from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval, and 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia. Memorials may be made in Norma’s honor to the Sandoval Fire Department.
