The Odin School Board has taken another vote and this time has agreed to co-op high school boys basketball and cheerleading with Patoka. The issue had failed on a 3-3 tie vote earlier. None of the board members changed their vote, but the member who was absent when the first vote was taken, Beau Parrish, voted in favor of the co-op giving it a 4-3 majority.
The revote occurred after some board members asked for the issue to be placed back on the agenda.
Several players and cheerleaders were in attendance. They had mixed opinions on the co-op.
The Patoka School Board had already approved the co-op. As part of the agreement, one of Patoka’s home games will be played in the Odin gym.
The Odin School Board Monday night voted to create an e-sports team. Superintendent Kimberly Briggs says the next step is hiring a coach. To start, Odin will participate in just one of the three e-sports seasons.
The board also named Oryssa Uhls as cross-country coach to replace Mike Murphy.
