The Salem Wildcats cross country teams competed at the Herrin Invitational. With a score of 48 points, the boys won the event. Leading the way was Ricardo Salgado placing 6th, Branson Pappas was 8th, Alek Bandy 9th, Caden Beer 11th and Rylan Crane 14th. Rounding out the top 7 was Jacob Ware 19th and Titus Churchill.
The Lady Cats were led by Ivy Donoho placing 8th. Breanna Thurman was 13th and Jaedyn Goostree 20th. Both teams compete again Saturday at the Carbondale Invitational.
