Franklin Park Dominates Opening Cross Country Fun Meet

The Franklin Park Cross Country team competed in their first fun meet on Thursday.    The varsity boys were led by Eli Baker in 1st place with a time of 10:24, Robby Shober 2nd, Hunter Malan 3rd, Payton Gullion 4th, Alex Spencer 5th, Avery Gullion 6th, and Caleb Purintun in 7th place.

The varsity girls’ race was won by Kendall Zimmermann with a time of 12:03.  Caitlynne Bryan came in 2nd, Ella Robinson 3rd, Finley Puricelli 4th.

The JV boys’ race was won by Scout Puricelli with a time of 9:19.  Will Vincent was 2nd, Nate Lowry 4th, and Gabe Thomason 5th.  Jacob McIntosh and Kellen Nix finished in 7th and 8th place as well.

The JV girls were led by Gracie Dice winning the race with a time of 10:40.  Teagan Lobek was 2nd, Nora Purcell 5th, Addalynn Bumgarner 8th, and Charlotte Johnson was 9th.

The Bobcats will compete in Pinckneyville on Saturday.
