The Salem Varsity SYFL Wildcats improved to 2-0 over the weekend with their 38-0 home win over Lawrenceville. The defense forced 4 turnovers including a scoop and score on a fumble recovery by Landen Maxey and a pick 6 by Alijah Carrol. Angel Salgado, Carter Lowe, and Trey Clark all scored on 40+ yard runs. Marquis Ettress and Jaret Gibson each added a 2-point conversion.
The 5/6 grade Wildcats also were winners 28-6 behind 3 touchdowns from Kyler King.
In the 3/4 grade inter-squad game, Emit Gibson had 2 rushing touchdowns and Rafe James also rushed for a score.
