The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats defeated Central City 9-4 at home. Marah Johnson was the winning pitcher picking up her first varsity victory. Morgan Honerkamp came in relief and struck out 6. She also recorded her first varsity hit and had 2 RBI. Quinn Wolfe added a hit and 2 RBI. The Lady Bobcats are back in action tomorrow at the Patoka Tournament.
Sandoval Jr. High girls slid past Patoka 6-3 in a game at Sandoval on Thursday night. Peyton Jett picked up the win in the circle going all seven innings with 8K’s, 0 walks and scattering 6 hits. The defense behind her was much improved committing only three errors in the contest. The offense was paced by catcher Harlie Harper scoring 2 runs on 2 walks, Jett going 1-2 with an RBI and 2 runs. Avery Moorhead was hit by a pitch and scored. Kylee Smith walked and scored. The Lady Hawks are now 2-0 and travel to Raccoon on Monday.
The SC Lady Falcons are 7-2 and 3-0 in the Jr NTC with a 15-0 win over St Elmo/Brownstown. Maddie Peddicord was the winning pitcher. At the plate, Emily Rose and Addy Ruholl drove in 3 runs each with 2 RBI from Amelia Montes and Jaelynn Gillespie. SC also got RBI from Peddicord and Zoey Feldhake. The Lady Falcons return to action Monday at Altamont.
