Catherine L. Johnson, age 92 of Huron, South Dakota formerly of Salem, passed away on August 14, 2022, in Huron.
Catherine was born on September 11, 1929, in Saline County, Illinois, the daughter of John Henry and Lessie (Henson) Johnson.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Green and husband Donald of Blanket, Texas, and Brenda Christiansen of Huron, South Dakota; a son, DeWitt Adams of Odin, Illinois; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Catherine Johnson; a daughter-in-law Catherine Adams; and three siblings, Edna May, Nathlea, and Herbert.
Catherine worked as a caregiver and in-home healthcare. She loved watching TV, especially the Game Show Network. She also enjoyed doing word search puzzles.
Graveside services for Catherine L. Johnson will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Palestine Cemetery in Golconda, Illinois. There will be a visitation on Friday at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Huron Region Medical Center Hospice and can be left at Crouse Funeral Home which is assisting the family with arrangements.
