The Selmaville Grade School’s Return to School Plan automatically updated to require masks when the Governor issued the mandate so no school board action was needed. However, about six residents attended the Monday night meeting asking that the masks remain only recommended.
Superintendent Robin Brooks said board members indicated they didn’t disagree but took no action not to follow the mandate.
Brooks says as students returned to school Tuesday morning all were wearing masks and there were no issues.
Brooks reported initial enrollment for this school year is up 19 students to 252 students.
