CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) — Illinois opens its season Aug. 28 against Nebraska. All eyes will be on new Illinois coach Bret Bielema, who had a successful run at Wisconsin before leaving for a job at Arkansas. Now he’s back in the Big Ten. He has a new coaching staff, but a veteran quarterback in Brandon Peters. The Illini have shuffled their roster and moved two speedy players to wide receiver. The schedule includes trips to Penn State, Minnesota and Iowa. It also includes a visit from Wisconsin, when Bielema will see his old team across the field.
