The SC Lady Falcons dropped their first 2 games of the season over the weekend at the Casey Westfield Tournament. SC fell to Casey in the opener 5-1. Maddie Peddicord drove in a run for SC with Percilla Reid had 2 hits; Karli Holmes added a single along with Bailey Wodtka.
SC then fell to Mt Carmel 7-5. Kinlee Thompson tripled home a run; Emily Rose singled and drove in 3, with Buchanan and Holmes adding singles. The SC Lady Falcons return to action today when they travel to Windsor/Stew Stras.
Windsor/Stew Stras won the CHBC junior high softball tournament over the weekend. They took out St Elmo/Brownstown 14-0, CHBC 17-0 and Mulberry Grove 14-0. The Lady Hatchets got dominant pitching giving up just 1 hit in the 3 games total. Mulberry Grove finished 2nd with CHBC 3rd and SEB was 4th.
