The Oil Belt Conference baseball tournament continued yesterday. Top seed Field is into the championship after their semifinal win over Odin/Patoka 14-10. Brady Cain doubled for Patoka/Odin and drove in 2, the Mohawks also got 2 RBI each from Hunter Thompson and Ben Spencer. Also driving in runs were Brady Haines and Hunter Janicki.
Field will play 2nd seed Central City in the title game after the Citians shutout Selmaville 12-0. In the loss the Rockets got 2 hits from Brendan Smith with Alijah Carroll and Jaxon Ward also adding singles.
The championship game with Field and Central City will be played at Central City at 4pm on Monday. Also at that time in Odin, Patoka/Odin will take on Selmaville for 3rd place.
The South Central Falcons open up their junior high baseball season today at the Greenville Tournament with games at noon and 4:30.
