Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say a 63-year-old Centralia man was treated on the scene for apparent minor injuries following a two-vehicle crash on State Route 161 at the Medlin Road intersection east of Centralia on Thursday afternoon.
Sheriff’s Department reports indicate Stephen Spinner of Medlin Road had slowed to make a left-hand turn from eastbound Route 161 onto the Medlin Road when he was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Danielle Sands of Pullen Boulevard in Centralia.
Both Kell Fire Protection District and Lifestar Ambulance responded to the scene. Spinner was treated at the scene, but not transported to the hospital.
Sands was not injured. She was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The crash occurred at 3:11 Thursday afternoon.
