The Illinois Department of Public Health is launching a new portal to show proof of vaccination.
Spokesperson Melaney Arnold says the Vax Verify System lets users check their vaccination records and then show proof if necessary.
“There are a lot more businesses, some organizations, and some events, like the state fair, are going to require proof of vaccination so this is someplace where people can get that information and documentation. They can get the registry, they can download the information and provide that as proof.”
Vax Verify uses Experian to securely verify your identity. You can set up your account at: idphportal.illinois.gov.
