The Salem 10u fell twice this weekend at the Little League State Tournament in Ogelsby. They opened up Saturday with a 15-4 loss to Elmhurst who broke things open with 12 runs in the 2nd inning. For Salem, Owen Tennyson drove in 2 runs on 2 hits, Colton Tockstein doubled home a run, Jared Crompton also had an RBI. Rhett Starnes doubled and tripled and scored twice with Kai Graham and Benny Bryan adding hits and Tanner Purintun scoring a run.
In the elimination game on Sunday, Salem fell to Peru 13-6. Graham and Tockstein drove in 2 runs, Zane Applegate also had an RBI. Bryan had a hit and 3 runs, Tennyson drove home a run with Jayce Keller adding a hit and a run and Crompton also scoring a run. Congratulations to the coaches and players for a great run in the post season representing Salem.
