The Colt World Series continued this weekend with Marion finishing pool play with a 3-1 record.
After Friday’s win over Brownsville, Texas 8-2, Marion followed that up with an 11-1 win over Covina, California on Saturday before blowing a late lead in a 10-7 loss to Greensboro, North Carolina on Sunday and a win over Aroma Park, Illinois 13-1.
Marion, which includes Salem’s Griffin Day and Charlie Hunter as well as South Central’s Aidan Dodson and Patoka’s Anthony Bonaura will play in the semifinals today.
The first game of the day is a quarterfinal matchup between Brownsville and Aroma Park, Illinois at 2pm. The winner advances to the first semifinal against Greensboro at 5pm with Marion and Covina in the second semi final tonight at 8pm.
The winners will play in tomorrow’s Colt World Series Championship at Rent One Park starting at 6pm.
